XXVI. Hungarian Quality Week: Quality Aspects of Industry 4.0

In year 2017, already the 26th Hungarian Quality Week and its connected conference were organised in the headquarter of the Hungarian Standards Institution under the motto: “Positive aspects of change”. Our colleague, Dr. Zsolt János Viharos hold a presentation entitled “Quality Aspects of Industry 4.0” for the relative high number of participants.

Plenary speeches of the XXVI. Hungarian Quality Weekconference were organised around the following three main topics:

  • re-certification – main changes inside the ISO 9001:2015 standard,
  • the spread of Industry 4.0, and
  • related changes in the operation of the management systems.

The presentation (prepared together with Dr. Géza Haidegger) of Dr. Zsolt János Viharos (MTA SZTAKI, senior research fellow of the Laboratory on Engineering and Management Intelligence led by Dr. József Váncza) was one of the keynotes inside the topic Industry 4.0. After introducing MTA SZTAKI , the Industry 4.0 (established by the convergence of the virtual and physical word in industry) definition and the arising professional contradictions were illustrated. Parallel to reviewing the results of the survey on the Hungarian Industry 4.0 developments and strategy assisted by the Industry 4.0 National Technology Platform, the Centre of Excellence in Production Informatics and Control (EPIC CoE)  was also introduced . Many Hungarian Industry 4.0 sample solutions were illustrated and the presentation was closed by a short introduction of the IMEKO international scientific organisation.

The presentation received various positive responses and also many professional contacts were established.
