Final farewell to Dr. Tibor Vámos

It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Tibor Vámos, professor emeritus, Széchenyi Prize-winning electrical engineer, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, founder and former director of the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), on 19 May 2021, a few days before his 95th birthday.
His ashes will be scattered in a small family ceremony on 10 August 2021 at 1 pm in the New Public Cemetery (Új Köztemető).

Respecters, students and colleagues may have their final goodbyes from Professor Tibor Vámos at an official commemoration in autumn, organized by SZTAKI. Further information about the event will be communicated by the Institute.
