What is Data Avenue?

Unlike conventional light microscopes, digital holographic microscopes can capture objects from an entire transparent volume. Therefore, it can monitor even 300 times larger sample volume by taking a single snapshot. At MTA-SZTAKI, we have developed different digital holographic microscope versions:

Flowbster is a new cloud-oriented workflow system. It was designed to create efficient data pipelines in clouds by which very large data sets can efficiently be processed. The Flowbster workflow can be deployed in the target cloud as a virtual infrastructure through which the data to be processed can flow and meanwhile it flows through the workflow it is transformed as the business logic of the workflow defines it. The Flowbster workflow can be deployed in the target cloud on-demand based on the underlying Occopus cloud deployment and orchestrator tool.

The gUSE is a well-known and permanently improving opensource DCI (Distributed Computing Infrastructure) gateway framework that enables users the convenient and easy access of the grid and cloud infrastructures.

The gUSE is the most visited European workflow system as per statistics of EGI (European Grid Infrastructure) Application Database.

Hyperspectral illumination for endoscope

Fast and multifunctional measuring instruments help the accurate diagnostics. The aim of this invention is to create a fast hyperspectral illumination that can be used with medical imaging instruments such as endoscopes. The new illumination has to ensure in time the light with different color components for the sequential camera captures.

The development was made jointly with EMD, and ECON.

Occopus is a software framework that supports the deployment and configuration (orchestration) of distributed applications built for running on clouds. The collaborative components running on virtual machines form a virtual infrastructure that can run on one or more cloud systems. The currently supported most used cloud interfaces and clouds are: EC2 (Amazon, Opennebula), Nova (Openstack), CloudSigma, CloudBroker. Occopus can be used by developers and operators of applications and services implemented by virtual infrastructure. Occopus is an open source software.

DCI Bridge is implemented as a set of web services that bind together in flexible ways on demand to deliver user services in Grid and/or cluster and/or cloud and/or web services environments.

DCI Bridge is a web application (sevice) that provides standard access to the distributed computing infrastructures (DCIs) like grids, desktop grids, clusters, clouds and service based computational resources by implementing the specification of the OGSA Basic Execution Service 1.0.
