The aim of the projekt is to systematically explore the conflict sitauations in solving the medium term production planning and short term scheduling problems, and to develop new solution approaches to tacke the two level optimisation problems. The main source of the coflicts is the diffeent objectives of the two decision levels. Since we assume that the schedulers optimize their own objectives, the planning problem is not equivalent to finding a Pareto optimal solution, but rather, a bilevel optimisation problem.

When we apply sensors to measure a workspace, we can meet some interesting questions about the information content of he examined system:
   * How can we estimate that something important happened in that space?
   * Can we estimate the degree of freedom of the space of events?
   * Measuring the events in the space, can we estimate the effect of an external impact?
   * If we directly manipulate some processes in the events’ space, can we measure the effect? Meaning that we want to measure the change in the events' process affected by the intrusion.

The primary goal of present work is to develop methods for the representation of visual
information that integrates appearance, structure and motion visual cues. We believe that
this integration can increase current performance of visual information categorization
and recognition methods.
The ability to detect and classify objects and object categories is one of the most
useful functions of our visual system. We recognize almost all visual properties of
objects and scenes at a glance. We are able to learn to discriminate between object

S-Cube, the Software Services and Systems Network, aims to establish an integrated, multidisciplinary, vibrant research community which enables Europe to lead the software-services revolution, thereby helping shape the software-service based Internet which is the backbone of our future interactive society.

An integration of research expertise and an intense collaboration of researchers in the field of software services and systems are needed to address the following key problems:

The targets of the project are user communities that require large computing power not available or accessible in current scientific e-Infrastructures. In order to support the specific needs of these scientific and other communities The consortium will interconnect the largest European Service Grid infrastructure (EGEE) with existing Desktop Grid (DG) systems in a strong partnership with the EGEE consortium.

The aim of the Innovative eLearning Tool for Quality Training Material in VET (IQTool) project is to develop an open source software tool integrated in LMS(s), which is suitable to assess the teaching quality management of eLearning training programs and training materials for supporting the application of the quality measurement tool for institutions dealing with vocational training and which therefore can promote the establishment and development of quality culture. The project implementation integrates testing of software and pilot training of the training material as well.

JUMAS (Judicial Management by Digital Libriaries Semantics) is a European project funded by the ICT programme within the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Development activities of the European Commisson for the period from 2007 to 2013. JUMAS addresses the need to supply the users with effective tools for managing multimedia libraries, such as criminal trial proceedings. New models and techniques for extracting and representing the embedded semantics derived from multiple data sources will be developed.
