HEKTÁR: Applying open digital library recommandations to Hungarian electronic libraries.

The objective of the project is to interconnect the Hungarian digital libraries on the basis of the Open Archive Initiative (OAI), and to expose them to the international OAI network. Using the OAI's protocol, several digital metadata repositories (data providers) can be searched at once from a central search interface (a service provider), thus realizing the paradigm of unified search . Our main partner in this project is the Hungarian Electronic Library (MEK) of the National Széchenyi Library.
