Municipality as service provider - this is one of the key ideas of information society: its creation is determined as a fundamental aim in the National Information Strategy. Municipality as service provider - alongside with information concerning its own operation - must provide wide accessability to the local and the national level of - among other things - culture, education, arts and other useful information.

The main provider of information in an information society is the public library system which guarantees free access to information as civil right.

Participants:

The service provides more reliable storage than usual backup solutions by storing data at several geographically separated places parallelly. This solution ensures extended security against such - not computer related - risks as natural/technological disasters (earthquakes, floods, fire, explosion, damage of buildings), willful damage, and human faults.

This secure method of data storage makes it possible to provide value based insurance of data as an additional service. In this case the client can claim compensation, should the data be destroyed.

Introduction

EUTIST-AMI, funded by European Union, is constituted by 13 application projects that are testing the benefits and the potential of agent and middleware technologies applied in real industrial environments. To sustain competition and face the global market challenge, the power of these technologies must be harnessed.

Recently it became a word wide trend among the scientific and research institutes to connect their clusters and supercomputers using high-speed network connections: unifiying their resources in the GRID. This project intends to strengthen this progress in Hungary as well by satisfying the following goals:
• connecting eight university and research lab's hererogeneous computing resources into a meta-computer or virtual supercomputer.
• Proof of its functionality using pilot projects and applications solving real scientific problems.

A rendszer a mobil távközlés közlekedésorientált eszközei és a gépjárművön elérhető lokális adatok egységes keretben történő kezelésével valamint a közöttük megvalósított kommunikációval folyamatos és közvetlen kapcsolatot tart fenn az áruszállító cégek járművein elhelyezett adatgyűjtő egységekkel, és az azokról érkező információk feldolgozása révén avatkozik be az áruszállítási folyamatba. Ennek eredményeként közvetlenül segíti a járművezetőt döntéseinek meghozatalában.
